Good-bye Grumpalumpagus

So, today I was pretty grumpy, hence the no post. It's hard to get excited about anything when you're grumpy. I guess this is good news, though: it means all the other days that I post, I'm not grumpy. So, I'm not grumpy far more often than I am grumpy.

But still, today I was grumpy, and the statistical analysis of my general grumpitude didn't make me feel too much better.

But some QT with a new mag helped.

As did some tension release in the gym.

Hopefully I can make these little endorphins last!

What makes you feel better when you're grumpy?

Ya'll have to look at this

Because these might be the cutest pictures I've ever seen.

Like, ever.

The kids in the "Ho Ho Ho" entry are my friend Leslie's kids. Aren't they precious?

Dear Bob,*

This is just to say
that when I
honked your nose this morning,
what I really meant
was *kiss* and
((((hugs)))).

Crackcident

That's what we call it in our house when we've eaten the whole bag of Easter candy in one sitting, say, or blown the budget on whatever it is we end up buying at Target [Can anyone ever say with Target? I mean, really--where does the money go?]

Luckily I was just kidding on this one [not that it's out of my range to eat this many Reese's at once, but I just didn't happen to today.] See? Here they are.

We're making cookies. Well, I'm making cookies, and Mary Bullock is napping. But as you other mothers know, that's the best help I can get!

Our sweet across the street neighbor and her precious baby Greyson have invited us to a cookie exchange on Saturday, so we're preparing ahead. I hope at least some of the cookies survive till party time.  If not, there's always Chips Ahoy!

Another favorite ornament

So, while I'm continuing to neglect our never ending pile of laundry, I thought I'd continue the tour of our Christmas tree. Please excuse my camera's shortcomings.

We find that most of our favorite ornaments are the ones that make us laugh. This is one fine example.

Did you catch that? Let me see if I can get a side by side:

Get it? He scrunches. Short snowman [Wait Wait Wait!] Loooong Snowman.

We laugh over strange things, I suppose. But we have 4 or 5 of these, and we wholeheartedly agree that these are some of our faves.

Another one for the birthday files...

So, I just want to take a break from Christmas talk for just a second to show you some of the decorations from Mary Bullock's friend Mattie's birthday party last Saturday.

This was Meg's own handiwork. Well done!

Other decor items she procured from The Polkadot Pinwheel. The banner that follows might be the cutest one I've ever seen--prepare yourselves.

I love pictures in sepia, but these are especially nice framed in pink and brown. Perfect.  Now I'm going to have to have another baby just so that I can steal this idea. Thanks, Meg.

Cheers!

It's 7pm.
The girl is asleep.
Dinner's almost ready.
I killed my to-do list today. Killed. it.
Now all I need is LDubs to walk in the door.
Cheers.
